This annual event aims to raise money for local charities, while bringing community members together. Jason MacGregor has played a role in this event, participating nearly every year since its launch 16 years ago. As a founding member of the Wilton Rotary Club in 2002, and a past club President in 2005, Jason used to help organize and run the annual tournament. Now, as a former Rotarian, he helps support his friends and community in Rotary by hosting clients and their guests of Minich MacGregor Wealth Management. This year MacGregor hosted 75 clients and guests at this event, treating them to a fun day of golf as a token of his appreciation. Jason really appreciates all the hard work the Wilton Rotarians do to run and organize the tournament. “As a former Rotarian, I know how much work goes on behind the scenes in the weeks and days leading up to the tournament.” Now I can focus on making sure my clients and guests are having a good time and enjoy the day with them.” When asked why he does this year after year, Jason said that it was a great opportunity for him to say thank you to his clients as well as support the local community and great causes. He stated how happy he was with the record turnout that attended to support some benevolent, local charities. All funds raised during this event goes to the Wilton Rotary Club who then donates to local charities. Each year the deserving charities are rotated. This year's charities were Alliance180 and The Wilton Food Pantry. Alliance180 is a peer-to-peer, purpose-driven program that aims to prevent suicide for fellow Veterans, First Responders and Frontline Healthcare Workers facing the effects of trauma through a transformative equine experience.
