The seven practitioners each bring a unique skill set to Suite 21:
“Parents going through a sudden loss can get comfort in a group setting from other parents, knowing they are not alone,” said Kevin Daugherty on the bereavement group; Kevin is also the husband of Kelly.
More Than Just Therapy
The reason Suite 21 is so cohesive is because the practitioners there are all focused on their clients’ overall wellbeing.
For example, Kelly of Greater Life Grief Counseling combines exercise with her practice through Healing Strides a weekly 2-hour walk/run therapeutic grief group for women focusing on mindfulness and healthy coping skills. At the end of the 6-week program starting on April 26, participants race in the Freihofer’s Run for Women 5K.
April of Hannah’s Healing and Wellness Studios combines the arts with her therapies, holding paint and meditation classes and reiki music meditation groups. April is also the co-founder of Path 11 Productions (www.path11productions.com) that blends what she does as a healer into interviews with experts to answer some of life’s biggest questions in a podcast.
With these classes and programs, Suite 21 is transitioning back to in-person, but still offers telehealth alongside in-office appointments.
“The whole landscape of therapy has changed,” said Kevin. “There was an uptick in people needing services due to stressors from COVID, but we were positioned to offer telemental health before the pandemic and had a quick adjustment navigating that technology because the community needed our help, as the demand for people looking for services has increased.”
